Clothes seem to be a bane for some women/posed by model
Thursday October 25,2012
MILLIONS of people are injured by their clothes, it emerged yesterday.
Four in 10 women blame a heavy handbag for pain in the neck, back or shoulders.
Around six in 10 have been affected by a bra that didn’t fit well and one in five has had a friction burn from a thong. A fifth of adults have had pain from sunglasses and ballet pumps are almost as dangerous as high heels, an online
poll of 1,000 people found.
Kelston Chorley of the British Osteopathic Association said: “Patients are often surprised that a bag or clothing may be to blame. They are prepared to suffer fashion even if it is not the best for them.”
